Digital Roadside Memorial

The problem: Fatalities due to reckless driving and speeding increase over Christmas, Easter and holiday periods. Police and speed cameras can’t be everywhere. The insight: Roadside flower memorials interrupt people while they’re driving, by either making them slow down or more cautious of their surroundings.

Concept.

The idea: The Digital Roadside Memorial. Each holiday period memorial crosses marking roadside deaths appear across all GPS devices. Whenever the driver passes a roadside memorial the GPS falls silent as a sign of remembrance and as an intuitive way to warn the driver.
